2021.12.08 12:20 LingonberryMoney8466 Horror movie I saw on TV in 2007
I saw a couple of this movie's scenes briefly back in 2007. Basically there's a girl living with her widowed dad. Her mother appears in the beginning of the movie (she has voluminous blond hair), but appears dead in a bathtub full of blood (it's likely water with blood, I think the mother killed herself). They appear to be rich/wealthy, and the daughter is between 6-10 with straight brwon hair with fringes, while the dad has grey hair. There's a scene in which the kid is playing in her bedroom - full of dolls - with another girl, but scares her by showing a doll with a horn in the place if its eye. That's it, that's all I remember.
The movie is likely horrosuspense/thriller, and pre-2007, which was when I watched it on TV.
If anyone might help me identify which film this might be, I would be really glad, because it has not left my head at all since then. 😅

2021.12.08 12:20 Zsfhy Can anyone please explain what this is about? My father expired due to Covid in May and we have received this letter today. Does my mother need to go to the city magistrate office? I don't want her to go out now during Covid.

2021.12.08 12:20 complacentviolinist Indigenous Hawaiians: how do you feel about the song "Mele Kalikimaka" from a modern perspective?
I originally posted this in indiancountry but am still looking for responses.
So I'm listening to Christmas music and I hear the song "Mele Kalikimaka" as I do every year.
And then it got me thinking: Bing Crosby and the Andrews Sisters recording a song in 1950 about a colonized place, including a phrase in a language they don't speak or understand at all, with romantic language about how beautiful the place is without once mentioning its people, celebrating a holiday that only exists there because of colonization, written by a white man born and raised in Hawaii. Before Hawaii became a state.
This song partially is responsible for getting its composer into the Hawaiian music hall of fame, but I wonder how modern indigenous Hawaiians view this song. Is it offensive? Is it celebrated? Is it insensitive?
Genuinely interested in what yall (indigenous folks only please) have to say. Thank you!

2021.12.08 12:20 imjustfrondly Permanent body changes from pregnancy?
So I’m thinking about having a kid soon before i yeet my incubator. A major hesitation i have is that im lucky in the hip department—in that one way i look fairly masculine, especially being heavier. I was extremely top-heavy but that’s much more easily fixed by surgery than wide hips.
I was wondering if anyone has experienced permanent hip widening, or other permanent body changes, as a result of your gregnancy?

2021.12.08 12:20 qpFacts When Is Encore Going To Be Removed From Rotation? TOO MUCH CAMPING
Title says it all. Encore is a extremely shit map.
It ALWAYS comes down to camping and due to the multiple high ground and no cover you can't rush people, so it just comes down to who's willing to hide like a bitch longer.
Map is terrible, wish there was a map select option or something, this map ruins the game for me a lot of times.

2021.12.08 12:20 eiskkskks Partner Has CPTSD, Need Advice
I need some advice.
My partner (transgender male) has CPTSD.
He grew up with a physically and emotionally abusive mother.
He was molested by his brother when he was 12 and his mom made it his fault.
He was then groomed by an online predator when he was 16.
This predator took advantage of him by making him dress up for him, strip for him, and eventually molested him.
Thereafter, he was taken advantage of sexually by a few others.
He's always had trouble setting boundaries, especially physical/sexual boundaries.
In 2018, he was date raped multiple times by a friend and another friend took advantage of his emotional fragility and pressured him for sex as well.
At the the beginning of our relationship, he was sexually coerced/raped.
He finds it easier to be agreeable and give into coercion in order to avoid guilt (which he is super affected by) and to avoid being violently raped.
He wanted to be poly early on in our relationship because he anticipated being raped/coerced further but he made the choice to be monogamous and we eventually married.
We've been married for less than a year and I worry that he won't be able to remain "faithful" because of his trauma and the fact he has trouble setting boundaries.
In addition to this, he has lied in the past in order to maintain the status quo in our relationship.
Have you been in a similar situation and would be willing to share your experience/how you dealt with it?

2021.12.08 12:20 PeppermintTeaPronto Any tips for learning to filter yourself?
I tend to get caught up in my thoughts or get over excited, and will talk about things that I shouldn’t be talking about. For example, my friend has divorced parents and has been having a tough time with it. Despite this, I managed to go on a whole random tangent one night about how marriage isn’t for me and despite having happy parents, I can’t imagine myself committing to someone for so long and finding the perfect person.
Looking back, this probably really upset her. After my discussion she revealed to us that her parents had a rough day and they’d finally realized the reasons for divorce (cheating) and I just felt plain awful. It was so insensitive of me to go on that tangent, i didn’t even think. Does anyone have similar problems? How can I stop unintentionally hurting feelings like this?
